In tune Renaissance hit all the right notes

match report Renaissance 14 -1 Lucky Voice AFC
Col Presly

Renaissance have romped to a 14-1 victory over Lucky Voice AFC in the third game of the Tufnell Park season. Gaffer Rembrandt had asked for a barnstorming peformance against a team yet to taste action in this league, and boy did he get a response.

The blues started at a frenetic pace, and were out of sight before you could whistle dixie. Scholesy was in top form as he guided his side to a 7-1 interval lead.

In the second half, Renaissance did not relax, and demonstrating their squad strength they took their match tally to 14-1. The Artist, Da Vinci, Michaelangelo and debutant Iain, all added to the scoreline, as Lucky Voice went mute.

Renaissance will meet tougher opposition in the future, but they have laid down a marker to the rest of the league.

The blues will look to make it Athletic – Yes in their next encounter…

  1. Their voices have broken.

  2. Unlucky voice.

Well played all, especially Paulie Scholes and the man I have just dubbed Iainucci, after the popular 20th/21st century humourist……

There’s going to be a lot of slow singing and flower bringing if we don’t put 20 past LV next time we see them, if they have the temerity / cahoonas to show up.

TAIBR predicts….Hayemaker & B-Hop on points – combined 10/1, easy monies. Call my man in Swaziland for further details. 0800-1878-C’MONSON-999

  3. Memorable goals

1st half: A through ball along the ground from Iainucci(?) and Scholesy helps it on its way with a deft flick past the keeper.

2nd half: Good team goal – one or two touch passing and finished off by Michelangelo (I think)

The Artist’s final goal – from long range and found its way into the net like a star being sucked into a black hole.

  4. Curious Gentleman

That Russell Watson was never much of a footballer anyway.

TOTL after 3 games, eh? A solid start to proceedings.
